The article offers an experience-based view on certain aspects of the technology for preliminary flow string tension in steam wells in order to compensate for the temperature tension in the pipes. There is a view on the need for avoiding this tension’s impact on the cement stone integrity in the productive layer interval. The author also offers an idea as to how to maintain the required level of the compensation tension given the string subsidence in case of installing a flow string on an earlier installed one.
