In 1978, she graduated with honors from the Engineering and Economics Department of the Stavropol Polytechnic Institute, specializing in "Economics and Organization of Automobile Transport".

From 1979 to 1982, she studied in full-time graduate school at the Leningrad Engineering and Economics Institute named after P. Togliatti, where she defended her PhD thesis in 1982.

From 1998 to 1999, she studied in full-time doctoral studies at the St. Petersburg Engineering and Economics Academy, where in 1999 she defended her doctoral dissertation on municipal management of urban passenger transport.

From 1978 to the present (with breaks for full-time graduate and doctoral studies), she has worked at the Stavropol Polytechnic Institute, then the North Caucasus State Technical University, which became the basis for the North Caucasus Federal University. She has worked her way up from a junior research fellow and assistant to a professor and head of the management department.

Under the scientific supervision of Professor V.N. Parakhina, 5 people defended their doctoral dissertations and more than 50 defended their candidate dissertations.

Total work experience - 44 years, scientific and pedagogical - 40 years.

Within the framework of the scientific school of Professor V.N. Parakhina theoretical and methodological problems of increasing the efficiency of management of socio-economic systems of different levels are being developed.

At the request of enterprises and authorities of the Stavropol Krai, a number of projects for the development of organizations, territories and industry complexes have been developed: the city of Stavropol as a whole, the Stavropol Urban Park, the tourist and recreational complex of the Aleksandrovsky District of the Krai, etc.

The following projects have been completed: on the problems of socio-economic diversification of the region (Grant of the Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation jointly with Belarusian partners - the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus), as well as a section of work on management within the framework of the international research project "Tuning Russia" on the introduction of a competence-based approach in the educational process (lead organization - University of Deusto, Bilbao, Spain), the Project "Theoretical Foundations for the Formation of an Infrastructure for Commercializing the Results of Innovative Activities of Universities" (with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research); the Project "Development of a Theoretical and Methodological Basis for Stimulating Innovative Activities, Strategic Forms and Methods of Its Implementation in the Context of Digitalization of the Economy" (with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research); The project "Public-private partnership: models and their assessment from the standpoint of developing international cooperation between Russia and Abkhazia in the modern conditions of digitalization of the economy" (with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research) together with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Abkhazia and others.
