FEATURES OF VALUATION OF HIGH-TECH (INNOVATIVE) COMPANIES
Abstract
Projects that involve the introduction of innovative solutions and have a significant level of digital technology involvement are characterized by a high level of uncertainty. This is due to the fact that their activities involve constant research and attempts to apply something new and unconventional. The invested financial resources of investors can both bring a significant profit, and not return at all in the event of a failure of the project. In this situation, business valuation using speciic methods becomes particularly relevant. This article presents a method for evaluating an IT project using real options, which allows you to respond to sudden changes in market conditions, which is essential in a highly competitive environment. Using the binomial approach of this method, it becomes possible to take into account various scenarios for the development of an innovative project and predict risks.
