Innovative activity as a factor of Russia's economic development

Abstract
The article analyzes scientific approaches to determining the essence of innovation, determines the importance of innovation in the activities of modern enterprises. A brief outline of the state of innovation activity in the Russian Federation in recent years is given, trends in the development of the innovation sector are identified. The key stages of the development of innovative processes, various forms and sources of their financing are identified. The main activities carried out by IT-companies, methods and ways of investing in the innovation sector are considered. A comparative economic analysis of the dynamics of Russia's position in the Global Innovation Index in recent years has been carried out. The role of the state in the development of the national innovation sector and the increase in the innovation activity of domestic companies has been established.
