TRADITIONAL RELIGIONS UNDER GLOBALIZATION: SOCIAL FUNCTIONS OF PRESERVING IDENTITY AND TRADITIONS
Abstract
The article provides a view on various approaches to traditional religions given the new trends in the social development. One of the major issues related to the influence of religion on the modern society is determining the true role of the religious in the public space. The parts within this issue that are worth mentioning include the ratio between the private and the public in the modern society as well as the acceptance of religious traditions as part of the cultural identity.
