PLACEMENT OPTIMIZATION OF VECTOR RECORDERS IN DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS

Abstract

The article presents an optimal PMU placement algorithm for monitoring the power system under normal operating conditions and applying it on a real distribution network. The use of the algorithm made it possible to determine the optimal location of vector recorders in complexly closed and open circuits of the electrical network. The algorithm has been tested on the scheme of a real feeder, providing the minimum error of determining the parameters for the calculation of the electrical network mode. Electricity losses are determined based on data received from vector recorders. One of the additional effects of the introduction of monitoring tools is to take into account the temperature of wires and windings of transformers in the calculation of energy losses.
