WAYS TO MAINTAIN THE PROFITABILITY OF THE INSURANCE COMPANIES
Abstract
Modern realities of the economic world and insurance environment, as well as the desire for leadership in the competitive struggle, motivate insurers to monitor the profitability and to seek new effective ways of its maintenance and increase. The article identifies factors influencing the profitability of Russian insurance companies by the various fields of insurance. It gives a brief analysis of the Russian insurance market in 2014-2016 in terms of aggregate profitability. The article also identifies and analyzes the key ways to maintain the profitability of insurers, among which the most effective are recognized: the development of new products, increased levels of customer retention and the development of new sales channels, including using new technologies in the insurance sector.
