THE ROLE OF SMALL BUSINESSES IN THE CONDITIONS OF GLOBALIZATION OF THE ECONOMY

Abstract
The article examines the role of small business development in the Russian economy, in the context of its involvement in globalization processes. In world practice, it is considered correct to state encouragement of the activities of small enterprises, since they help to achieve the socio-economic development of society. The classification features of attribution of enterprises to micro, small and medium are given. The study identifies the main components of the impact of small business development on the state economy. Further, the foreign experience of small business functioning in the USA and EU countries is highlighted. The paper also outlines the main problems of small business development and suggests possible solutions.
