APPROACHES TO THE FORMATION OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC POLICY TO SUPPORT ELDERLY CITIZENS UNDER CONDITIONS OF POPULATION AGING

Abstract

The article is devoted to the global problem of an aging population and the particularities of the formation of socioeconomic policy towards senior citizens under these circumstances. in these conditions. The effectiveness of the policy towards senior citizens will be higher if the following aspects will be taken into account: heterogeneity of this large social group, the level ofsocial activity and willingness to work, the state of health and the ability to live independently. The policy towards senior people should be based on the optimal combination of two approaches: the "development approach" and the "care approach".
