Problems of the development of social competence of modern adolescents

Abstract
The article discusses the development of social competence of adolescents in conjunction with the processes of socialization. The socialization of modern teenagers is revealed taking into account the characteristics of the «digital generation» and the influence of the dual environment (real society and digital space). The author substantiates the importance of the level of development of social competence for the successful socialization of the younger generation, analyzes domestic approaches to understanding the social competence of adolescents, puts forward an assumption about its structure (reflexive component, value component, activity component). In conclusion, the problematic field of developing the social competence of the younger generation in modern conditions is outlined.
