Increasin the profitability of companies in the dairy industry of Russia as a mechanism for the sustainable development of enterprises

Abstract
The article analyzes scientific approaches to the definition of the essence of profitability, defines the importance of profitability in the activity of companies. A brief sketch of the state of the Russian dairy industry in recent years is given, and the tendencies of the branch development are defined. The role of production modernization as a key factor in increasing the profitability of dairy industry enterprises is determined. A comparative economic analysis of the profitability indices of large enterprises of the dairy industry and dairy products production is carried out. The correlation between the growth of profitability and capital expenditures on the automation of dairy production is established. Recommendations on the use of various profitability multipliers are given.
